Declaration of accessibility

BTS Business Trading Shops GmbH strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) and the Ordinance to the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV). Our goal is to enable all users, especially people with disabilities, to use our website easily and without restrictions. This statement describes the current state of accessibility of our website, the measures taken to eliminate barriers, and the options for contact and complaints.

This accessibility statement applies to https://www.dataflex.shop.

Description of Services

On this website, we offer the following services:

  • Goods

In addition, this website contains a blog. Frequently asked questions along with answers are also available on this website.

Status of Compliance with the Requirements

Our website partially complies with the requirements of the BFSG in conjunction with the BFSGV, the applicable technical standards of the European standard EN 301 549, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. WCAG compliance corresponds to level AA.

To implement digital accessibility on our website, we use the following tool(s):

  • WAVE Accessibility Tool

With these tool(s), we aim to provide our website visitors with an optimal user experience.

Implemented Measures to Remove Barriers

The accessibility requirements on our website are met in particular through the following measures:

  • Clearly recognizable font sizes and strong color contrasts
  • Navigation via mouse and keyboard
  • Alternative text for images
  • Easy-to-read and understandable language

Non-Accessible Content

Despite our efforts, the following content is not fully accessible:

  • PDFs, videos, images, forms

We are continuously working to identify and eliminate existing barriers. We endeavor to provide an adapted version or accessible alternatives as quickly as possible.

Non-Accessible Content Due to Disproportionate Burden

Some barriers on our website cannot be remedied in the short term due to disproportionate economic burden. These include complex interactive applications and special features on our website, which require significant financial and personnel resources to be made fully accessible. We continuously review opportunities for improvement; however, due to the disproportionately high costs, not all barriers can be removed immediately. This affects the following applications and functions:

  • PDF Files
Some of the PDF (Portable Document Format) files are not accessible. Converting all documents into accessible versions would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102. This would result in an above-average organizational workload as well as significant financial costs. Sufficient resources are not available to make all affected files accessible.

  • Contrast (Minimum)
In a few cases, reduced contrast ratios may occur. Where color values can be adjusted without major impact on the overall design, improvements are made immediately. All other insufficient contrast ratios will be resolved during the next relaunch.

  • Empty Button
The presence of buttons without visible or programmatically readable text leads to confusion and unusability for users, especially screen reader users, as they receive no information about the function of these elements. Where possible, empty buttons have already been removed or updated. The remaining buttons will be optimized during the next relaunch.

  • Missing Form Label
Missing form labels occur in form fields without proper labeling, which significantly complicates or prevents interaction with forms (e.g. search, booking, contact) for screen reader users. In the areas of newsletter subscription and the contact form, there are still elements without labels, which will be optimized during the next relaunch.

  • Broken ARIA Reference
“Broken ARIA” refers to errors in the implementation of ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes and roles on web pages, which can lead to accessibility issues. Many of these errors and issues have already been resolved. The remaining issues will be optimized during the next relaunch.
